Are Mcdonalds prices going up or down? Food prices in general have gone up drastically and it seems that sellers are trying to keep prices steady by reducing the amount of food included. So perhaps your wondering if McDonalds is following suit. Will you be eating less french fries for the same price, or must you part with more green to get the same amount of food? Well, if you noticed that you can easily get $50 for spending at mcdonalds, then you realize that whatever is happening to Mcdonalds prices, it won’t have to affect you at all, at least up to fifty bucks worth of food.

So let’s take a look at the mcdonalds menu and see where their prices are in the u.s. as of today. For some reason, they don’t have an easy to find text list of what is on their dollar menu, so from what I could decipher of their visual listing here is what costs one dollar:

  • Fruit and yogurt parfait - $1
  • Small fries - $1
  • McDouble - $1 (more about the stink this caused below; and I bet the patties don’t go all the way to the edge of the bun like they show in the photo)
  • 2 Pies - $1 (hey, I was wondering if they still had them; I’m sure they didn’t cost a dollar when I was little–oops, I see they are two for a buck. I suspect they’re dinky small though.)
  • McChicken - $1 (I bet it’s tiny)
  • Small drink - $1 (ouch, given you could get at least four 12 oz cans for a buck)
  • Side salad - $1
  • Hot fudge sundae - $1

Please note that they do say, in fine print, that prices and participation may vary. You have been warned.

The big stink involving the McDouble was that they recently took the Double Cheeseburger off the dollar menu, meaning they raised the price. There were so many complaints that MacD decided to replace it with the McDouble, which is simply a Double Cheese minus one slice of cheese.

Of course, their menu does not list prices, because prices will change often and likely differ by state and region. The good news is that it is so easy to get your $50 gift card to spend anyway you like at McDonalds (simply provide an email to learn how easy) that it doesn’t matter how high McDonalds prices are.
