Normally I try to avoid eating at mcdonalds, mostly because I do not think the food is that good but also because it is not that healthy. The other big reason I want to stay as far away from the megalith restaurant chain is because of how the animals are treated that get turned into mcdonalds hamburgers and chicken sandwiches. However, on a recent road trip with money being very tight, I did not have much choice but to stop and eat at the dreaded place because some neighbor friends had given us a twenty five dollar gift card. So i was interested in learning if mcdonalds nutrition information had changed for the better.
Because over recent years, I had noticed that mcdonalds has been trying to add more healthy items to their menu. What i discovered however, is that their food still does not taste that good. In fact, it is one thing I’ve noticed in general with most all fast food places: their value menu (or dollar menu) is greatly lacking in taste and nutritional value, except pretty much a side salad. And should we really be going to fast food places for a salad? Perhaps. What really makes me mad are the chicken sandwiches for a dollar. It’s not the good chicken, it is the mashed up foam like garbage patties. Disgusting. If you want real chicken, you must pay over three bucks for it.
